Workshop Directors
Co-directors Wayne Rodrigues, faculty member at Springfield College, and Bob Kuzmeski, Springfield College alumnus and associate athletic trainer at the University of Massachusetts, create a fun learning environment complete with productive and positive feedback and individual attention for participants, thanks to a low student-to-instructor ratio.
Participants will learn more about careers in athletic training and how they can start their journey toward success in the field.
Workshop Co-Director Wayne Rodrigues has been an athletic trainer and assistant professor of Exercise Science and Sports Studies at Springfield College for 30 years. In addition to teaching various courses on the prevention and care of athletic injuries, he coordinates the Sports Injury Rehabilitation Clinic, which serves the Springfield College intercollegiate athletic program and provides supervision for students completing fieldwork in sports injury rehabilitation.
Co-Director Bob Kuzmeski, SpringfieldCollege alumnus, is in his 17th year as an associate athletic trainer at the University of Massachusetts, where he has worked with the ice hockey, football, men’s lacrosse, men’s soccer and the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams. He is also a part-time lecturer in the Kinesiology Department at UMass. Bob is an approved clinical preceptor for athletic training students at Springfield College and Westfield State University.
