Springfield College Mens Soccer Camp

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

This recruiting event is designed to provide a positive learning experience that is both enjoyable and competitive. Our curriculum is targeted toward high school aged student-athletes who maintain a strong interest in playing college soccer and desire to gain the experience of working with the coaching staff and playing at the top level facilities at Springfield College. Participants will interact and receive feedback and instruction from the Springfield men’s soccer coaching staff both on the field and in the classroom in effort to give insight on the experience of a varsity soccer player at Springfield College. Each clinic will feature technical training, small-sided games, and full-field scrimmages and will conclude with opportunities for parents and families to engage with the coaching staff in a Q&A session format. Typically, Springfield men’s soccer players will either be in attendance or working the camp which offers informal interaction between participants and current members of the team. We typically cap attendance to our clinics at approximately 50 to maintain an intimate and qualitative environment for all participants.

Camp Director
Coach Tommy Crabill is in his second season as head coach for the Springfield College Mens Soccer Team. In the last three years, the Pride has rattled off a 49-7-6 record and made appearances in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament in the last two seasons. For a program that dates back to 1906, Crabill is just the 10th head coach in Springfield men’s soccer history.

A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, Crabill spent the last three seasons at Williams College and previously served as an assistant coach at St. Lawrence University. After arriving at Williams in the 2015, Crabill has served as the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach for the Ephs. Prior to his time in the Berkshires, Crabill was the first assistant at St. Lawrence University, and was a part of a coaching staff that helped the Saints capture the Liberty League regular season and conference tournament and earn a pair of automatic berths to the NCAA Division III Championship. Consistently nationally ranked during his time at St. Lawrence, the Saints advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in 2013 and the second round of the national tournament in 2014.

Crabill comes to Alden Street with National Diploma from the NSCAA to go along with a wealth of coaching and playing experience. In 2012, Crabill worked at Earlham College in Indiana, after spending two years assisting both the men’s and women’s squads at Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio, where he helped the men’s team to its first-ever NCAA Tournament berth and a 16-6-0 finish in 2011. He also assisted at Alma College in Michigan in 2009.

Crabill, was a four-year member of the men’s soccer team at Ohio Wesleyan, where he earned Bachelor degrees in physical education and sport management. During his time with the Battling Bishops, Crabill helped the squad win four NCAC regular season championships, three NCAC tournament championships, and make four trips to the NCAA Tournament, including the Final Four in 2006.
